Talent vs hard work

I love to watch how he could magically score within less than 20 secs. He played 15 seasons in the NBA, and had six championships. Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time. But it is not his talent that made him successful. Here are his ten rules of success:
1. Keep working hard
2. ignite the fire
3. Be different
4. Fail your way to success
5. Have high expectations
6. Be positive
7. Be who you were born to be
8. Have a vision
9. Stop making excuses
10. Practice
There are points that really strike a chord on me:
1) Keep working hard - working hard is not good enough. I need to keep working hard. Having said that, it is not the quantity of time I should spend on doing my work, it is the quality of time spent- I need to stay on track on making sure whatever I do fit the bigger purpose that I have in life - I'm still working on this, to see how I can make my work more effective without losing focus of this main goal. If you have any ideas to share on how I can improve, do let me know!
4) missed more than 9000 shots in his career - how many people did I NOT impact and they do not believe in what I do? Plenty, do I get discouraged by that? Of course! However, I need to understand that even though I may fail over and over and over again in my life, I must have the courage to fail and not break when I am broken.
10) Practice - This point is similar to point 4 whereby I have to keep practicing what I do. For example, I need to continue to practise sharing my perspective in this financial arena. Just like a doctor or an IT expert who continues to upgrade themselves, I will need to continue to practise my trade and to build my competency in helping others.
Are there any rules mentioned above that you agree or disagree with? Do share your thoughts!
