No, I'm not referring to giving chinese confinement after birth of a baby. I'm referring to being quarantined for 14 days. How many of you have experienced that? Care to share your experience about it?
For me, due to work reasons, I'm now in Vietnam HCMC. Despite coming to this country several times already, every travel is a new experience for me. To travel in the midst of COVID is definitely a totally new experience - from the airport, plane ride and now in the confined room in hotel. The experience made me feel that the crisis is real and surreal, and that I am grateful to be alive and able to contribute my part in this planet Earth.
So here I am, in this small confined area, not allowed to go anywhere. Other than eating sleeping, reading, watching the time goes by, it is time for me to reflect about my life!
So on my 2nd day in my hotel, I started my reading and watching some inspirational videos. This is what I've shared with my clients and friends on "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" This is one of the best summary from the book "The 7 Habits of highly effective people" by Stephen Covey. Let's make the best of what we have to GROW!
Here's is another video on what successful people do!
These are 12 points that I have learnt and some I plan to practise them during my confinement. Do try some of them out!
1) Waking up early to increase productivity - Yes, the sun is shining very brightly by 7 am! Wide awake cos of the sun!
2) failure is gold if you learn
3) ignore conformity, innovation, unique solution, avoid comparison - Doing something differently now, the fact that I'm in another county...
4) reading every day, knowledge and sleep better - Yes, time to carve out to do some reading!
5) spend money, invest, calculated risks, delayed gratification - This must be done all the time! If you want to understand more, do reach out to me!
6) sacrifices for goals dreams, time, love, work
7) creative writing brings clarity about own story - I'm doing NOW by writing this!
8) mild procrastination: passive is lazy, strategic is active, good time planning, shift focus - Agree, time to consolidate and think through things!
9) self improvement as habit, learning new techniques - okay learning!
10) networking, who you know is important
11) exercise consistently, working out, good for self esteem, ambitious, self discipline, goals - trying to do bit of yoga :)
12) daily meditation, against stress, better problem solving, better memory. Think about your goals or reflect on emotions and relax! - Yes, doing this daily :)
